International women's Day

On International Women’s Day, AWGS celebrates the strength, resilience, and achievements of African women in Scotland and across the globe. Our volunteers work tirelessly to engage communities in Aberdeen and beyond, raising awareness and driving action to address the challenges faced by African women. Together, we unite to advocate for equality, empowerment, and the solutions needed to overcome everyday barriers.

Become a Leader

AWGS Leaders serve as community representatives, helping to strengthen our mission, amplify our message, and work towards improving the quality of life for African women. By joining as a leader, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of AWGS, sharing your story, and connecting with others who share your passion.

Leaders meet monthly via video conference to discuss initiatives and further our collective goals. If you’re interested in becoming a leader and supporting our mission, we’d love to hear from you.
